Packed with atmosphere this Thai restaurant has been quoted to serve  the best Thai food in York.

Offering a variety of freshly cooked and authentic Thai food in an authentically decorated environment. This restaraunt located on Micklegate must be one of York's best kept secrets.

A selection of red, yellow and green curries. All beautifully presented in earthenware pots kept warm over tea lights.

The red curry is spiced, but not overly hot.

The Staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive.

We stumbled on this restuarant by accident at lunchtime, a great value lunch deal and fabulous authentic food. We would definitely return and try out the evening menu this time!

Hi we got a gift voucher to dine at The Old Siam as a Christmas present (which we decided to open a little early) - we've just eaten there tonight and it was the best gift we could have been given. Some of the most delightful food in York. Fantastic, and a great vegetarian selection also which was very good to see. Also great authentic Thai beer to wash it all down with!! We'll definitely be going back soon! Thanks so much for the chance to try it.

wow what can i say 'aroy dee mark'
ive travelled to thailand over 10 times in the last 4/5 years and not only do i love the people but a big thing in my life is food .
the old saim is the best thai food ive tasted out side of thailand in fact would go as far to say it beats all the other thai resturants ive been to in the uk.
the place is well set out not too oldie not to modern.
the staff so polite and carring,and service was always very good .
thanks for making me a happy man
