Like its Bradford counterpart, the restaurant has a modern, contemporary feel, with mirrors, modern artwork, mood lighting, and "chill-out" music creating a general laid-back ambience. There are plenty of staff around who are attentive and there's also a glass-fronted kitchen, allowing diners to see just how their food is prepared. Akbar's specialises in sizzling pan-cooked baltis. As well as the great-value food, the service is first-class too.

First visit this evening, certainly won't be the last. Delighted to find such a choice of vegetarian dishes, sampled four and all were excellent. Gorgeous kulfi, one of the less sweet deserts. Coffee perhaps not a strong point but drinkable.

Very friendly and efficient service and water jug refilled without needing to ask, gold star in my book.
