THE HOUSE OF MARGARET CLITHEROW,
10 SHAMBLES, York
Although to many the Shrine has been considered the home of Margaret Clitherow, it has been suggested in recent years that her actual house was on the other side of the street at No 10' Past Images', Which is notably the only house in the street to have a Priest Hole located to the side of the medieval fireplace in the middle room. This room is now the studio of the shop but visiters are welcome to view the priest hole if it is not in use.
