This highly acclaimed contemporary modern bistro with a cosy, informal atmosphere in the centre of historic York. Located on Fossgate just off the Shambles, the food is simple but bold, familiar yet new. You set the tempo, long and lasting or fast and snappy.

This large restaurant is on two floors and has beautiful modern decor and original art, creating a relaxed big city atmosphere. Great food, the most innovative in York. On a good day the best quality. One caution is that having eaten here many times the quality and service is always very good at lunchtime and yet I have had a couple of evenings of dreadful service and variable food. Still very much worth a visit as it can be excellent.
