York R.I. Sports Club, York UK

The York Railway Institute is a non profit making members club.

It has been in existence for over 100 years and the origins relate to the facilities provided by the former Railway companies. Support from the Railway companies was given in the form of premises and as a consequence preference for membership was given to Railway employees. However in the lead towards privatisation all support from British Rail was withdrawn and the rules were amended to ensure that membership is open to all without preference.

The York RI operate a wide range of sporting and leisure activities and applications for membership are invited.

Hi. I'm interesting in playing table tennis in York. I used to play second league in Poland ...while ago :) - and just wonder is it possible to take a part in training sessions in York's club?
Could you please send me some information?
