Bettys is considered as a bit of an institution in York, and it has become the thing to do, to have afternoon tea in this Victorian Tea emporium. I have been to Betty's tea rooms on numerous occasions and I have never been disappointed. Upsatairs is very open and bright and airy with large windows. A table seat gives a fantastic view over the hustle and bustle of the city. Downstairs is modelled on 'I think' it's the Queen Mary. It is all very dark wood panelling but an extremely cosy feel. The chips are to die for - as is their cinnamon toast. I always have a scrambled egg and bacon muffin which is served with a good dollop of homemade chutney. A must do on any visit to York

Is it possible to mail order some of your fudge to send as a gift to someone in the UK? If so please let me know how I can place the order. Many thanks. Fiona Ross
