The Ghost Walks of York

(see our ghost walk section)

York is thought to be Britain's most haunted City. With a Haunted House open to the public in the day time and a wealth of fantastic entertaining tours on a night, why not embrace the eerie mist of night! York's many Ghost Walks are one of York's best kept nightly activities. For more information and to choose from some of the walks available, see the link above.

A Romantic Meal & Walk up the Historic Shambles

York has many picturesque medieval streets to stroll along with a loved one, such as Stonegate or the Shambles, warmly lit on a night with so much charm to offer. Why not start the night at a nice restaurant, romantically wonder down the Shambles and end you night at one of York's Ye Olde Taverns! After all, we are very proud to have a good pub, beautiful scenery and a fine restaurant in every part of the city!

A Night Up In The Gods

With two historic Theatres plus University and cultural City events, York is spoiled for choice for a great night out watching a show performance. York Grand Opera House and York Theatre Royal have major stars and well-known shows and plays all year round, plus York's own theatre groups, music and dance events. From Ballet to Shakespeare, Chopin to Pantomime - enjoy a night in the Grand Circle or Down in the Stalls with style.
