York Model Railway

Right next door to the City Train Station, the York Model Railway Museum is focussed around 4 oval systems of Hornby 00 gauge track. There are over 320 metres of track and 14 trains running every day. Great for children, train fans and just curious visitors. The trains include the Intercity 125, the Orient Express, and the Royal Train, complete with royal crests on each coach. Over 1000 miniature trees and bushes, and over 300 cars and lorries add to the realism of the display. kids can also operate the Thomas the Tank Engine display.

York Model Railway has indeed closed down and has moved to Lincolnshire.

I can confirm that the Model Railway is still open and going strong!
